About Josh

Josh grew up in the Treasure Valley and graduated from Meridian High School. He has been licensed in Idaho real estate since 2016 and has personally closed over $100 million in residential, land, and investment transactions. In 2020, the Boise Regional REALTORS® association recognized him with the Code of Ethics Award, an annual honor given to one Treasure Valley REALTOR® whose conduct demonstrates the standards of the NAR Code of Ethics. He is a multiple-time Boise Regional REALTORS® Circle of Excellence recipient, most recently honored in 2022.

In 2016 Josh founded Good News Realty Group as an independent, veteran-owned brokerage. He is the firm's Designated Broker, the role under Idaho law that carries legal supervision and accountability for every agent and every transaction at the firm. That accountability is not abstract: every offer, every disclosure, every closing file at GNRG passes through his desk before it ships.

Outside real estate, Josh runs a small portfolio of personal investments including spec-home builds, land development, and the occasional flip. He works hands-on with builders and trades, which is part of why he can read a new-construction sales sheet faster than most agents and tell you which "options" are actually worth what the builder is charging.

What clients hire him for.

Sellers. Pricing strategy, pre-list prep, and negotiation. The PSA and SRS designations are the formal credentials. The track record is the real qualification.

Buyers in new construction. Knowing which builder concessions are real, which lot premiums are inflated, and how to write an offer that actually gets the buyer the rate buy-down or closing-cost credit they think they negotiated.

Land and lot buyers. The CLC designation signals depth on rural acreage, irrigation rights, well and septic considerations, zoning, and what makes a lot buildable versus what makes it a future regret.

Veterans and VA-loan buyers. Josh works in close coordination with our COO Johnathan Melin, an Army veteran and Military Relocation Professional, on every VA transaction.

Beyond real estate

Idaho life.

Josh and his wife are raising four sons in the Valley. Outside of work he is a skier, a camper, a builder of river-table furniture in his shop, and a generally-too-busy dad of four.
